Snowshoe Sam's - Big White

I came here myself for lunch several times service and food were great and price was reasonable i had chilli and it was fine

This place serves pretty decent food in the heart of Big White Village. Although it is mainly a bar (with pool tables and arcade games), it was still comfortable for our family including our 14 year old. Our server was attentive and friendly. We appreciated the fact that we were able to eat there without a reservation during the busy Christmas season. It was a bit loud, but that’s to be expected.

I absolutely adore Sam's!!! It's our favorite restaurant on the hill. The staff is fantastic and extremely accommodating. They go above and beyond to serve you quickly. We have dined here multiple times and every experience has been wonderful. The atmosphere is fun and quirky, with great music. The drinks are delicious (my favorite is the Woke Up Like This) and the food is incredibly tasty (my favorite is the smash burger). The fries are shoestring fries and are delicious. They are very accommodating of gluten and dairy allergies. They can accommodate groups of all sizes. Even when they are busy, they always manage to find a table for us, whether we are a small or large group. The servers and hostesses are friendly and kind, even when they are busy. Reservations are not necessary, which is a plus. The food arrives quickly and the servers check on us regularly. One night we had a terrible experience at another restaurant nearby, so we decided to go to Sam's. Despite being busy, they served us delicious food in under ten minutes, for a lower price. This place is amazing!! Great for a fun night out with friends and also family-friendly. They have arcade games, pool tables, and a variety of seating options. I highly recommend Sam's and want to praise the amazing servers and hostesses - they are the best!!

Been coming to Big White every year for last 10 years and we drop in at all the restaurants at some point. Snowshoe Sams food varies in quality. This year Christmas 2022/2023 the food is not too bad. However the service is still terrible. Last time it was down to not having enough staff and not recruiting … but this time ? Service is still 45 mins from sitting down to getting a starter. When the starter is soup you really do have to wonder what is going on. Usual story for me then. One visit is enough to realise this place should be avoided.

This is a classic ski town bar with friendly people and interesting stories. The drinks are cold and the food is decent, but the service can be a bit slow. Overall, you'll leave satisfied with a full belly and a good buzz, but don't expect to be wowed by the cuisine.
