A cozy place with excellent service and eating! great host! I had served the solomillo on a hot stone plate that was brilliant.
What a great place. eating, wein and service was very good. there were three of us, we decided to do para picar. enslada ventresca, calamares fritos, pimientos verdes and mollejas have all washed with a very decent bottle luis alegre reserva. the waiter. was excellent. I told him we were back when arsenal wins the europe league. he promised a bottle of cava if they succeed. the whole bill came to a very moderate €72 for a meal that would serve easily 4 or 5 people.
Simple, nicely cooked Spanish seafood, which for the destination tourists, as it seems seriously overpriced (imagine what it would normally get if it were on the menu for half price). the portions are moderate/small (for the price). still water €4, white brot €1 per. the staff are friendly and atmosphere causal.
For our last night in Bilbao, we were looking for a nice restaurant to have dinner. El Marques is small, the fish is really nice and so is the staff.
