The landlord allowed customers to vape inside the pub, contrary to Sam Smith's policy. Additionally, patrons at the bar were using and charging their mobile phones, despite the establishment's rules. There was a loud, screaming girl who was revealed to be a barmaid, creating a less than pleasant atmosphere. Mr. Smith should address these issues promptly by enforcing the no swearing and no phone policy, prohibiting vaping indoors, and preventing children from disrupting the ambiance.
I discovered this restaurant in Bolton and it is quite spacious. It has its own grounds with a large garden in the front. Although the menu is limited, they do serve meals. The restaurant would be ideal for hosting events as shown in the photos. Personally, I believe the name of this pub is fantastic, one of the best I've heard in a long time.
This pub is located in our neighborhood, but we often find ourselves venturing to other places. I'm not sure why that is. The beer is good, and you can easily have a pint or two. The owner is also very friendly.
This large Sam Smith's pub has a large beer garden as well as several comfortable rooms. Old Brewery Bitter is available at a very reasonable price of £2 a pint with several lagers not too much more expensive. A welcome sign on door informs visitors of Sam Smith's policies on Behaviour standards. Although we just went in the evening to enjoy a few pints in the beer garden there was a sign advertising food until 1800.
Opposite Bolton School this pub has architectural merit nice places to sit inside and out. In winter open fires burn in both lounge bars. It has good bus links and extensive car park. Refined but not snoby! Part of chain that has inexpensive drinks but not necessarily those brands you are used to. Worth a try.
