A little cold, rather impersonal, no sake (it’s not very perishable) kitchen unsurprising, it remains a convenient troubleshooting address for the noon, at very reasonable prices
I was told good, I went there and I confirm: the samourai is the Japanese address to be done on board. the waitress is kind and discreet, the atmosphere is very Asian and quiet. Sushi/sashimis/makis are fresh and well worked. The open kitchen is clean, the toilet also. The chef and the waitress are warm and do not hesitate to come to you (when there is no world) to discuss and come and have a drink with you.
If I had not had a greedy passport, we would never have crossed the door of this little restaurant, so we can pass in front of it without noticeing it and without imagining what can be the cuisine that is proposed there. For having tried several Japanese restaurants on bordeaux, it's the best I could visit. The welcome is perfect, the very attentive service (normal in a Japanese), and the dishes offered excellent, whether sushi, makis, sashimis, ... the fish is a real treat (redthon, salmon, dorade, ...). as to the price, it is quite reasonable for a Japanese restaurant (we took the samurai boat menu at 50 euros for 2 people !). beautiful discovery!! We will certainly return to it!
I discovered this restaurant through friends. not disappointed with the trip to the japon thanks to the mastery of the chef and the perfect service of his wife and the freshness of the fish. good wine map at very correct prices. we were the last to leave, which earned us the presence of the chef at our table to discuss wines around a good bottle offered by the latter. Really a good address to discover for those who do not know Japanese cuisine: they will not be disappointed
