Contribuisci feedbackIncredibly poor service waitress was even outside most of the time. Incredibly mid tier food. Dirty seats flies all over the restaurant. My partner tried tipping 10% to which he was chased after upon leaving the restaurant to raise the tip!!! I have never seen anything like this before. Would not could not recommend this place in good conscience.
I’m writing this to express my extreme dissatisfaction with this restaurant and purely out of shock at what happened today. Today was my nieces birthday and we decided to go all the way to Chinatown to experience an authentic hot pot experience. Upon arrival me, and my niece, and a group of four of her other friends were seated at a booth. Once seated, The lack of communication was already apparent. The waiter seemed standoffish and didn’t explain the concept of placing our order. The menu was some sort of check off what you want concept other than telling the waiter to put in an order for you. Not wanting to ruin the night. We don’t let this communication error get to us, but throughout our time at this restaurant, our experience constantly just gets worse. After placing our order, the waiter expresses to us that having six people sitting at our table and what we order is not a lot portion wise for all of us. Which I then expressed to the waiter that three of the people sitting at the table when I’ll be eating. So what we ordered is enough for the people who will be. Once I expressed this the waiter got extremely hostile, and took the plates, spoons, bowls, and chopsticks that were set out for the three other people and frantically whisked them away. Never in my life have I seen sort of attitude. The level of professionalism is very lackluster at this restaurant. And also as the only racially diverse group in this restaurant, at the time, I felt uncomfortable, having to go through this experience. I am never going back. And I want to advise anyone is planning to go to be aware of what you might encounter.
Extremely Disappointing Experience, Unprofessional StaffI recently visited Kaze restaurant located at 1 Harrison Ave, Boston, MA 02111, and I must say that my experience was incredibly disappointing. I feel compelled to share my unfortunate encounter to warn potential customers about the subpar service and overall unprofessionalism I encountered during my visit.First and foremost, while I was dining, I witnessed a roach crawl up the wall near my table. This was not only unsanitary but also deeply concerning. Hygiene is of utmost importance in any dining establishment, and this incident left me feeling extremely uncomfortable and disgusted.Additionally, the poor maintenance of the furniture added insult to injury. The springs from the chair I was seated on unexpectedly popped out of the seat and actually stabbed me in the butt. This was not only painful but also completely unacceptable. It demonstrates a lack of attention to detail and a disregard for customer safety. To make matters worse, when I brought a drink from outside the restaurant that I had already purchased, the owner or manager, who seemed to be in charge, rudely insisted that I couldn't have it and made me put it away. This level of inflexibility and lack of understanding towards customers' preferences is disheartening.Furthermore, when my friend and I requested to split the bill, the same lady flatly refused, displaying an unwillingness to accommodate even the most reasonable requests. We remained polite and understanding, yet she stared at us throughout the rest of our meal, making us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.Lastly, I feel compelled to mention that my friends and I were the only Black patrons in the restaurant. Although we do not want to play the race card, it seemed that some staff members treated us differently. For instance, when our food arrived, a server took my friend's bowl without even asking, as if assuming they were finished. This lack of basic courtesy and respect is deeply concerning and unacceptable in any establishment.Overall, my visit to Kaze was marred by the presence of a roach, uncomfortable seating, unwarranted restrictions on outside beverages, uncooperative behavior regarding bill splitting, and the uncomfortable atmosphere due to perceived racial bias. I strongly advise potential customers to take these factors into account before considering dining at this establishment. I sincerely hope that the management takes these issues seriously and addresses them promptly to improve the experience for future patrons.
Great place to go late at night when nothing else outside of Chinatown is open. The food is really good and cheap also.Food: 5/5
