We hunted pizza after a day of exhaustion of shopping at IKEA and this place has appeared on Google as the next pizza place. First red flag: no cars on the visitor parking space at 5.30 a.m., while the neighbouring Vieux Duluth was already packed. Second...red flag: Despite the hot orange/red wall colors that welcome the interior of the place, the place had a morgue-ish temperature that registered 19C (not cool for pizza place ambience). The juke box music from 70s added to the grim feeling. The waitress brought Blanche de Chambly fast and it was the star of the evening (you can't stand out with this champagne-tasting beer even if you sit in the fridge. We ordered two great pizzas: Thai Shrimp and Enfer (Hell in the hope of a little extra heat. They quickly came (yes, we were still the only customers 30 minutes after and looked like something the novice housewife would serve as "pizza" when they buy a pack of a huge square cracker and they with all that it was appropriate. The Thai Shrimp Pizza had placed exactly 6 small butterflied cultivated shrimp strategically in the corners of the place for a good view (saving them on ingredients? – was nothing Thai about it, except can be a super-generous blanket of fresh coriander that looked like an attempt to cover the lack of ingredients. The Enfer (Hell Pizza was a mixture of dried tomatoes, skillfully black olives and tons of melted onions served on the similar thin cracker that tells us where the name came from. The best thing on the table was spiced oil, which helped solve all the problems and everything quickly, only cuz we starved. Sure, don't come back and still confused why it's called pizzedelic?
The ambience is excellent. The reservation was for our group of 14 people on the terrace. The time between our order and the plates on the table was also excellent. Dogs were delicious, presentation was also good. Bathrooms are top-inch. It lost a point on my...expectation of the spicy Mayo with the fries that did not spicy enough and the lack of anticipation of our waitress. that are all relative.
I have traveled far and wide, but today I enjoyed one of the best pizzas I have had in a long time. I highly recommend the chef as an exceptional pizza maker.
This time the food was a bit salty, but still delicious, with a friendly server and the unexpected delight of gluten-free options. Overall, the restaurant remains consistently good and I plan on visiting more often.
