Stopped here a few times at lunchtime while skiing, almost always busy but good service none the less!
Definitely not cheap but big portions of quality dishes, promptly served. We've been there twice and each time left happy and fulfilled. First time we got there at about 15:30, plenty of spaces to sit outside but the kitchen was closed since 15:00. They only served deserts, so we took crumble apple pie with vaniila ice cream and a raspberry pie. Amazingly tasty and big. I took the cheese plate that came with bread and butter and was enough for 2.A few days later we came at 14 but without reservation. Waited 10 minutea and got a good table outside. Great meat dishes.
Something has gone badly wrong with the service at this well-located traditional-styled obviously once-classy outfit. Austrians would have got one seated and served before this crew had woken up to the fact that one had even arrived. A scrawny half chicken had little meat but some flavour. Steak was ok (on a second occasion) but the service even more shambolic. Apparently the owner is too rich to care.
This is right on the marmottes piste. Its quite expensive but the food was tasty and generous. The place was packed with people, we were lucky to get a table, however the downside was the service. French to say the least. The tables were well apportioned and the seats really comfy. I'd be happy to return as overall it was a great lunch, despite the service.
Love this chalet - even though it is very large the food is always consistent. Whilst not fine dining the busy atmosphere is fun and we were treated to some a Capella tunes from a travelling French band at lunch time whilst sheltering from the weather. On a sunny day the terrace is great too.
