BI is the closest to the campground so I decided to give them a shot last week while we were camping and pressed for time between activities. The campground store provided us a full menu, which I was grateful for as any type of internet/phone service is hit or miss in this area, thus I couldn 't check in . As a family we reviewed the menu and I had our order written down when we called. The lady answering the phone spoke and understood very little English. It was frustrating to say the least. I had to keep repeating myself, than there would be a awkward, long period of silence and I would start talking again and she 'd start talking over-top of me. One thing I was sure of was that I didn 't want to eat a cold wrap and asked specifically for the wrap to be toasted. She said she would and repeated it back to me. I assumed she understood. When I drove the short distance to pick up I immediately noticed an unregistered car in their lot. A young man who worked there was taking out garbage and we basically walked in separate doors but at the same time. He immediately went behind the counter and went to work, without a hand wash after handing trash. Upon entry the smell hit me like a ton of bricks. It was the odor of damp stagnant water or dishtowels. You know that smell when you leave laundry in the washer for too long. The inside looked clean but was cluttered and very dark. No one was dining in but several people were waiting around for their orders. The lady behind the counter who took my order was maskless throughout most of the transaction. My order was ready and not inspected till we got back to the campground. My blt wrap was thrown together poorly and not folded properly. It made it difficult to eat. While the inside was warm the outside was bone cold, and not toasted as requested. The bacon was actually little pieces of crumbled sausage like you would use on a pizza. It wasn 't horrible but not what I ordered or how it was described. The fries were obviously frozen. Kids meal was basic and made from frozen. Hubby 's stromboli was very small for the price and he remained hungry. The whole experience was so frustrating from the initial phone call to the meals we received. I really wanted to like this place since it 's so close to where we camp but will gladly drive 10+ miles for a decent meal. I wouldn 't recommend nor come back.
I really enjoyed a little different pizza. Very heavy but delicious. It too impressed with salads or sap but pizza was excellent
They're getting better! Not sure if it's new people in the kitchen, or if they changed ingredients. Definitely recommend the white pizza!
I'm seeing a lot of low ratings, but we had some pizza from there today and it was way better than we expected. We were in Bowmansville for the day and my dad usually orders from there. He says they have a decent pie. We are from New York City and we are pretty snobbish about our pizza but we were pleasantly Surprised at the quality of Bella Italias pizza. We had two plain pies and one pepperoni. Both were of good quality. We also orders two chicken parm subs or hero's which were on delicious Italian bread, but it wasn't a fresh chicken cutlet it was more like a chicken finger. Still not disappointed with it because it was better than we expected. We didn't sit to eat but while I waited for the order I looked at their beer selection and it seemed like a decent amount of craft beers for such a small bar. There were lots of tables, which were empty, and a small bar for about 8. But it seemed like a very steady flow for takeout. At least 5 orders were being picked up when I got there. It was a little slow, but being Good Friday I expect a pizzeria to be busy.
Good chicken tenders Cheese fries were okay Italian sub didn't have a lot of meat on it Calzone was good Trying the pizza tonight
