The food would have been tasty, but it was served very cold, add that to an argumentative waiter who speaks but doesn't listen made for an unpleasant dining experience. Two ears one mouth a human ratio worth noting One Star Anise. Apparently it's fine to serve tandoori king prawn at room temperature because there is lettuce on the plate. Oddly I ordered TKP (not a lettuce dish), so would have preferred that to be served at least warm if not sizzling, and definitely not on an ice cold plate. Threatening filthily dressed chef (concerning food hygiene hazard levels) means we will never return, nor recommend on any level.
Last night I had dinner from star anise. Food was mouth watering and I had Lamb shashlik, it was juicy pieces of lamb just melted on mouth. I really loved it. For starter, I had tandoori king prawn. I really enjoyed. Food quality was 5 out of 5. And must I need to say there services was out standing. The guy was working on front of house, he was very friendly and supportive guy. His behaviour rating should 5 out of 5. Thank you star anise for your foods and services.
