The Farm Stand - Branford

There was no line, there was a lot of strawberries to pick from, the staff was very friendly and helpful, willing to answer any questions you may have had. The property was very clean and well maintained. We ate at the restaurant, everything tasted great as usual. The only thing to complain about was that the loaded nachos were not loaded, they were only meat and cheese, no jalapenos or sour cream on them. We did not eat there and we travel to get there or would have taken them back to be corrected.

If there were half stars, I'd give this place 4 1/2, but I feel generous, so I'll round up! Pros: It's a wonderful place to take kids to go for a fun time, picking strawberries and going into their store.There's plenty of rows and rows and rows of strawberries to pick from, so you don't have to be crowded or if you don't want to pick, you can go into their little general store and buy strawberries already picked. They have lots of different food (didn't order any), shakes and ice cream, preserves, salad dressing, honey and dessert, and all kinds of goodies in the general store.Cons: There's not enough parking when it's crowded. The bathrooms are port-a-potties. So make sure you go to the bathroom before you get there.The jars on the shelf had no pricing on the items; it makes you wonder how expensive they are. And you feel stupid asking..... But like the saying goes: If you have to ask, you can't afford it. And for people who are on a budget, it makes it a little tough trying to figure out how much you're gonna be spending, however, there is a board that has pricing for the food and the ice cream and shakes, but I didn't see any pricing for the shelf items, but it's a possibility, I didn't notice..I've read they have produce there as well. But we didn't see any fruits/veggies aside from coconuts out front prepackaged strawberries.RECOMMENDATION: It's definitely a great place to go and visit and get yourself fresh-picked strawberries and enjoy a day out in the fresh air. They have little wagons, you can put your kids in and pull them up-and-down the aisles, and they have hay rides. There seems to be other kid friendly activities as well, such as a corn pit and a corn maze. ?They are seasonal. So make sure you get there before they close for the season.

Had an amazing time picking strawberries here! Such a good selection of local products such as pickles, hot sauce, preserves, honey, etc. They have tacos and snacks! But, you have to try the strawberry milkshake!! ?

Our absolute favorite! The farm is wonderful in all seasons. The stand has awesome tacos milkshakes. The fruit/veggies are delicious and fresh!
