Stillwaters Plate and Pour - Brant

We tried the restaurant for the first time last night and it's our new favourite!  The ambiance was lovely, the service superior (thanks Kim) and the food was out of this world.  We'll be making a reservation in 3 weeks when the leaves across the river make a perfect view.  Can't wait to go again and try something different.

We had a party of ten so we called ahead to make a reservation but were told they don't take reservations for the patio. When we arrived we waited about 15 mins for a table which was pretty good considering the weather was great and it was busy. We started with 2 charcuterie boards which were way over priced for the amount we got. The menu had a lot to choose from but found the items were slightly overpriced for the portion you get. A lot of us got the perch and it tasted great but again the size of it wasn't very big. One person got a Caesar and it had no garnish and it was luke warm. Our waitress was attentive and delivered our food and bill promptly. The restaurant has a great patio and view but that's only if you're sitting at a table for 4 or less people. If your party is bigger than that then you're seated away from the river view. Also, the music was really low and couldn't hear it at all some background music is always nice over dinner. The town itself is very cute and the main street is lined with lots of little shops you can visit after your visit at Stillwaters.

Perfect Wedding Venue. My husband and I got married at Stillwaters Plate and Pour on May 17th. Matt and his team went above and beyond to make sure our special day was perfect. Every guest that I spoke to absolutely raved about the incredible food by Chef Will and his team, including an antipasto table, a 'fresh table ' veggies, pitas, dips, salsa the best coconut shrimp you 've had in your life, steak skewers, sliders, chocolate covered bacon and so much more. We did not have a traditional sit down meal, but no one left hungry and everything looked and tasted heavenly. A huge hit of the night was the poutine bar they set out at 11 pm with every topping you could ever imagine (including pulled pork, chill and buffalo chicken...unreal).I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff. They made sure everyone was taken care of, checking in with myself and my husband, guests and most impressively, the older crowd. Each of our older guests whom I spoke to, could not say enough of how attentive, kind and sweet the staff was, making sure they got food, had drinks or even needed assistance. Now to speak of Matt, the owner. From the very beginning, this guy has been nothing but a gem to work with. Always being honest with us, doing whatever he could to make what we wanted, happened. On the day of? The man was suited up and just as involved as his staff was. The level of professionalism and care personally invested in to our day by Matt did not go unnoticed and was greatly appreciated.If you have not been, you also need to see the view. The restaurant is right on the river, and the view is nothing short of amazing.My husband and I could not have asked for a more perfect day, and we have the staff of Stillwaters to thank for making that happen.

Really nice place, great food and service! My daughter and I split a 3 cheese dip.. awesome.. my daughter had mango thia chicken stir fry and I had butternut squash ravioli. We shared both meals. Very tasty and big helpings, couldn't finish either. Lots of leftovers! Will definitely return. Best part was we had a window seat overlooking the Grand River!!!

I attended Stillwaters Plate and Pour today on the advice of a 'Foodie ' friend. I was NOT disappointed In fact, it FAR exceeded my expectations! The food, the service and the setting itself were all impeccable. I dined with a group of 5 others, and ALL of us were more than pleased with our choices from the delectable menu. Each of us ordered different Entrées and Desserts and shared in each other 's dishes. Amazing!! Every one of them!! Our Server was friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive, and quick to offer advice about each of the dishes on the menu. Everyone in our party raved about what a wonderful Restaurant this was, and we are all already planning a return visit. 5 Stars!!!
