I first found the Dutch Shop years ago, through friends that are Dutch-Canadian citizens. I figured, if they were shopping there, it must, at least, be authentic. It isn't a restaurant though, it is a specialty grocery store.Let me say first, I freakin' love that crazy black liquorice they eat...it will weird you out but then you will come to love your new salty dark master...The shop has a good selection of Dutch groceries but the deli and bakery are wonderful. At lunch you can pop in and get a sandwich to go.My birthday cake came from the Dutch Shop this year and it was awesome (white cake with a vanilla filling, whipped cream frosting and fresh glazed fruit).They carry some nice Dutch cookware too.

This place deserves 5 stars without a doubt. If this restaurant was in my neighborhood, I would definitely be a regular. It is located on King Street.

The coffee at this establishment is average, but they offer a wide variety of teas and free wifi. The seating options are limited, but adequate.
