Joey's Seafood Restaurants - Brantford

What can I say, just amazing food and kind and attentive sweet Staff. They are all very professional. We ordered fish and chips combo with 2 haddocks each and it came with coleslaw and chips, lightly battered and not greasy. Mouthwatering Lobster bisque and harumi. How I do it is I dip the chips and harumi in the lobster bisque and the word goes into a halt. It was that good. The amount I spent including tip was $85 and worth every penny. It was delicious. I will be back for sure.

Having just moved to Brantford, I'm trying out some of the eateries to see what my new favourites may be. For fish and chips I'd say Joey's is the one. Good sized pieces of fish, chips not soggy or greasy and good service. Update April 2023 The menu has been updated. Many of the appetizer items are no longer available. Several other items off the menu too. The 3 for 15 items I usually stopped in for are part of the discontinued foods. Shame, I really enjoyed that part of the menu.

So disappointing.. this was a go to place for me. However, today they completely changed the menu. No app deals, no lobster grilled cheese, no halibut, no a lot of things. Decided to still give it a try, got the Buffalo shrimp dip which was good except the pitas were completely soggy. So soggy they just flopped so you couldn’t actually pick anything up. I also tried the clam chowder which was extremely runny I didn’t even eat half of it. I won’t be going back which is extremely upsetting. Bring back the old menu!!!

I love seafood. This was my first time having fish. I would say it was not a bad experience. The food was okay. Ordered fish and shrimp combo. The quantity was good but the quality was pretty average. Fish seemed oily. Fries were good. Got the butter garlic shrimp and it was amazing but very less quantity. Service was quick and we were well taken care of.

At first, when I went in to pick up my order, it took a few tries to get someone to acknowledge me so I could even get my food. Then, when I got home, I realized a lot of my fish was smushed together, and even though I paid for an extra fry, meaning four fries in total, I only got one. When I called,they did offer to bring me more fries, but then they brought me one box almost 2 hours later because I wasn't the only messed up order they were out fixing. We just moved here, and overall, it's not a good first impression.
