I have frequented Fairways many times over the years, but my recent visit after last year's lockdown was my first experience with their new menu. My wife and I both ordered the paella, which was excellent. The dishes we saw being served to other tables also looked amazing. Ian took care of us, providing attentive and helpful service to ensure our experience exceeded expectations. I highly recommend Fairways to anyone.
We were extremely disappointed with our Sunday lunch booking for 3 at this restaurant. The roast potatoes were overcooked, the vegetables were undercooked and not hot, the roast parsnip was practically raw, and the pork and turkey were tasteless. The meal did not include items listed on the menu such as pigs in blankets, stuffing, crackling, or buttered potatoes. Despite multiple requests, we were only brought a small dish of burnt crackling at the end of the meal. We would not recommend this establishment and will not be returning. Additionally, there were no track and trace records kept on the day.
Had a delicious lunch on the sunny terrace looking out to sea. We were welcomed and looked after by Ian and the team.
Visited today for lunch. Ordered moules marinieres and traditional fish and chips. The place was very busy and they said food service may be slow. It wasn't and was served in around twenty minutes. They forgot the chef's tartare sauce and garlic bread but realised their mistake and rectified it quickly. Quality and portions were very good. At least four different staff members served us. Each one was friendly and efficient. £34 inc two drinks each was great value. We will visit here again.
