Best place to be: hot showers, at night, very cozy room- soon come back! January can't hurt us.
Good accommodation at a reasonable price. Friendly staff, well located (parking is a few minutes walk) Food drink at ‘spoons prices. With our room on the front, we were awakened by dray delivery at 5 o'clock, but it wasn't daily. We found the food to be a little hit miss, but we enjoyed some really delicious, well cooked meals along with a few just ‘ok’ a few. But it's a Wetherspoons, so we didn't expect any size! As it sometimes seems to be the case, the busier of the pub was served with customers the lower quality of food, so for us it paid to eat at quieter times.
Very busy as expected on summer holidays, but service was quick enough ordered via app and drinks within 10 and food within 20. There was a medical emergency with a customer who took 2 employees who did not help with timings, so I'm sure it would be faster in a normal day. Beautiful open garden area in the center of the pub and many small indoor dining areas. Would you come back?
Didn't mean to call into a weatherspoons rather stumbled in trying to find somewhere for a quick lunch. 4 stars for value for money rather than ambiance or refinement. £8.75 for a pint and small fish and chips
