As someone who doesn't visit Brighton often, I spent some time browsing Yelp for various seafood options. Eventually, someone in our group recommended this particular spot since we wanted to take our food to go. We ordered quite a bit of fish, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they actually cooked it fresh, rather than serving pre-cooked fish kept warm, as is common in London. This resulted in a wonderfully crispy batter that didn’t overwhelm the beautiful, fluffy cod, which maintained its texture perfectly. The squid was exceptional—I could have eaten a mountain of it. It had been fried to perfection, tasting rich and buttery, without any chewiness. The chips were typical of a fish and chip shop—pretty good overall.
Really nice juicy fish in crispy teig and the chips were also fresh cake hot. I give them only four stars because of the smell of cooking oil that remained with me for the rest of the night.
This is a high-quality, beautifully designed chip shop located centrally in the prominent city part kemp town. this is a clean and modern take up what is a unclean of British traditions, away are the timeliness wrapped around soggy and cold chips, the daily catch brings them a good meal for a good price. I bought regular chips and broken cajau, which cost me over £4. that's pretty good, especially considering how much an alternative takeaway would cost elsewhere. the personal is also quite friendly, which makes me a bigger fan again.
Sitting in a pub that had just finished the first prise of the day, the desire for fish and chips entered the beach. The trusting Yelp app informs me that there is a well-respected fish chips shop just a few doors down! hurra! if I was looking for traditional fishing and chips, I might not stop here. it has this plastic late evening take-away-gleich look to look slightly sticky. but as the saying says, judge never wrote a book on his cover. some of the best fishing and chips I had. the fish was freshened before our eyes, the big filets were taken out of the refrigerator, dipped into the diligent and thrown into the frit. the chips were crispy and had exactly the correct amount of salt and vinegar. Even the plastered gherkin on which we were splurgit was fantastic. the only ones settled, the muddy inherit a little bland. all in all, highly recommended. and just a few minutes to/from the beach. do not let them be seduced into the extorted tourist traps directly on the beach, they will regret it.
This is the best chippy in Brighton. No questions at all. The fish is as fresh as can be and the batter is nice and light and fluffy and not floating about in grease. Lovely chips and they also serve a really nice curry sauce. Even the pies in here are great and should be enjoyed with chips and gravy (of course). They do have a good selection of fish on the board and even if you have to wait a while, they can usually sort what ever you want out.
