They even offer vegan cocktails!!!! Was told by one of the new managers that live music is part of the new image now so will be back for their open mic for sure and their nachos topped off my night.
Hadn’t visited in a while, and was very much pleasantly surprised at the change. An excellent place for a tipple. Attentive, knowledgeable bar staff. Cosy, dimly lit speakeasy-vibes-place; open later than most/nearly all other places in the area. Great place to take a date or to enjoy an after work drink
I am amazed at the transformation the new management team has brought to this restaurant. The pub is currently undergoing a much-needed renovation and is on track to becoming the go-to spot for late-night fun in Brighton. Soon they will be serving coffee and tapas for those in need of a pick-me-up, as well as showcasing local art and musicians during open mic nights and live band performances. This is exactly what the area was missing! With a great selection of ales such as Proper Job and Otter, along with a variety of spirits and wine, all enjoyed with some smooth funk and soul tunes in the background. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
We came here for breakfast on a recent stay. The breakfast is excellent value for money and delicious and the service was excellent.
We all know social distancing is high priority at the moment, however when your family social bubble (since the beginning of lockdown) isn’t allowed to sit together and is told to leave is nothing short of rude! We had a small group and sat down over two tables ;social distances apart) and was rudely told to leave because WE KNEW EACH OTHER! Really!! And you wondered why the place was empty! Rude! Sorry to have to write this but Really!
