Your dish comes to you on a 220 degree hot plate and you mix it up to cook up the meat. The meat is decent quality. The brown sauce is so tasty. If you haven't been, it's definitely worth going.
Had the classic beef. I liked it but didn’t love it. I actually found it a little bland and slightly dry. I like the whole idea of the sizzling plate. Maybe I just need to try a different dish next time maybe something with sauce.
Our latest Sunnybank adventure led us to the very popular Pepper Lunch to check out their new menu items and they have also have some new products like Loyalty card and Keyring Promo. To start with l absolutely loved using their super easy and fun self ordering system. The whole place was actually fun especially when you see the sizzling hot teppan. Gotta love that sizzle!
I recently won a pair of Pepper Lunch keyrings and took advantage of the January offer for keyring holders. These have recently changed to different $10 deals on the 10th of each month, and January’s was for $10 single meat sizzling curries normally $13).<br/ <br/ We had a chicken and a beef, plus ordered a pepper salad $8.90 to accompany our mains. Ordering the specials has to be done by a staff member, and somewhere along the way my intention to have my beef curry with hot curry and wifey’s chicken curry with mild curry got mixed up. My meal came first and I didn’t realise until after I’d poured my curry over my food, so we ended up both having mild.<br/ <br/ It’s been a while since my last Pepper Lunch experience and I enjoyed the return visit, especially now that I know you can customise the pepper level I find the default levels too peppery). I got the large rice option $1.50) on wifey’s meal so that she could share her no-pepper dish with the boy, though it turns out the normal size would’ve been sufficient.<br/ <br/ Hopefully there will be a different dish on offer every month so I can work my way through the menu
The ordering system is manageable for me because I know exactly what I want, but I have observed that some customers become confused and end up blocking the entrance, causing frustration. I think implementing an iPad system at each table would be more efficient, as staff often assist with orders anyway. I appreciate their loyalty card system, as I receive a free item every 4th meal, unlike most places where it is every 10th meal. PROS: Quick service, Flavorsome CONS: The ordering system can be confusing for new customers and causes blocking at the entrance, Limited beef, Not good value for the money, Small tables.
