She wasn’t enjoying the music or the atmosphere much but got chatting to the bar man Elijah who was a credit to the place. Welcoming, engaging and win the wife over. Great selection as well of some of Bristol’s best breweries beers!
This was one of our favourite places in Bristol stocks loads of Belgian beer (and advertises heavily that it does). But we were there at about 3pm on a Saturday, ordered a couple of bottles of Belgian beer and the response the fridges are locked and my manager has gone away with the key so you'll have to wait. Well no, we'll take our business elsewhere. Utterly ridiculous that several hours into opening on a Saturday one of the key parts of the bar is still locked.
Came in during a night out. Very expensive. Two spirits and mixers were £20. One shot of fireball whiskey was £4 and listed as a deal?! Jazz music played throughout our drink and was very loud; had to shout across the table. Had one drink and left. Will not be returning
Very atmospheric boozer. Lovely chilled out vibe. Whilst there is a bit of a cellar scent, damp and musty rather than anything particularly offensive, you tune it out after a minute or two. Bar staff are lovely and the range of beers is brilliant.
This place used to have a great vibe and a quality feel , when food was more prominant . However nowadays the place is tired , empty and it smells of the toilets. We walked in and the smell was strong across the other end of the bar and its a long bar) we did not stay to order , it is seriously that bad and someone needs to spend some money and sort this out .
