Beautiful. sommelier and employees at both nights of our stay were fantastic. however, room outdated and eat to breakfast and both dinners sadly disappointing. coffeemachine more holiday inn express than hdw. sad that previously reliable chain does not correspond to expectations.
The food at this restaurant is overpriced for the quality. The sandwiches seemed to have been prepared hours before and stored in the fridge. The broth lacked flavor and the cream cheese tasted old. There was a lack of garnish and variety in the bread selection. The scones and profiteroles were stale and the Klopfte creme was tough. It seemed like the desserts were store-bought and thawed. Even with a free voucher, we were disappointed with the quality and will not be returning. We do not recommend this place. The hotel du vin needs to improve. On a positive note, the Portuguese waiter was charming and attentive.
A slightly mixed experience at the avon shlucht. the prospects are beautiful and the hotel is good after the renovation. we really enjoyed the champagne afternoon tee; it was a good choice and a lot to eat! Unfortunately, the service leaves our experience...down when we arrived, we were offered tables through the window that had beautiful views, but due to the light it was not possible to sit on them without sunglasses. I asked the waiter if we could sit somewhere else, he looked tied up and fought to come with an option. he was disgusting that we were sitting everywhere for dinner in an hour and half an hour. we finally convinced him that we are sitting somewhere in the almost empty restaurant. After we finished our afternoon, we asked to pull on our original window table, as the sun was now moving and we wanted to enjoy the intentionally with another drink. the manager said we can't sit there now because of the food service, starting soon. it is not mentioned on the booking page that if they have a tee on the afternoon, the restaurant that will need table again it took us awhile to determine that we stay on our table or move outside. the waiter should have told us our options. When I mentioned, I was disappointed at the table problems, the waiter was not over and just said he wouldn't control the sun. the restaurant has a very strange mindset about where guests can sit even if they are almost empty. at the end we have a glass of free prosecco that I appreciate to sit for the table problems, but the restaurant could save so much stress if they can not be ridden where people can sit when only tables are used in the restaurant.
The restaurant has a pleasant setting with beautiful views and attentive service. However, the afternoon tea experience was disappointing. The sandwiches and desserts were not fresh and even seemed to have been kept in the fridge. The clotted cream for the scones was rock hard. While the scones were enjoyable, the overall quality of the food did not justify the high cost per person. Ultimately, I left feeling disappointed with the experience.
