You pay before dining, and I recommend adding some background music to enhance the atmosphere. They offer unlimited soft drinks, although options like Pepsi Max may not always be available.
If you're looking for terrible food, horrendous customer service, a lack of service resolution, and dog feces in the pub garden, then this is the place for you. Avoid it at all costs!
We recently came to this restaurant for lunch as a small group. Our experience was actually quite good, especially when compared to some of the previous reviews. Most of us opted for the carvery, which did not disappoint. The meat was fresh and plentiful, and there was a good selection of vegetables, all served hot. Some of the younger guests chose pizza, which came with a self-serve salad option, all fresh and quickly devoured. We had to order both food and drinks at the bar, but it wasn't a problem for us. We also tried the desserts, which weren't the best, but my son really enjoyed making his own sundae, which we all thought was a fun idea. Overall, it was a pleasant lunch with a nice atmosphere, good value for money, and we all left feeling satisfied, so we can't complain!
Visit here occasionally when it was known as salutation carvery. the service was on average like eating. stonehouse has taken over it with a newly decorated interieur and an extensive menu. today (5.4.17) with son and two friends visited and was less than...impressed the same staff that seems to have hired that diners are a necessary inconvenience to deal with. Eating was terrible. arrived at 1230 clock and the four of us asked for fish, lo and see, only one filet was available and that was dinner. the other three diners had a chicken roast (meat was dry and chewing) and two fish finger rolls, as the southern fried chicken wrap was also not available. stonehouse has used money for this facility, but all that they have achieved is the coverage of the existing cracks. if you want a decent meal with decent service, I suggest this place a wide lie
The carvery was awful, when we did get served we found the beef very chewy, all the veg were not fresh but frozen. Can only say the roast potatoes and yorkshire puddings were okay!! Bar staff were extremely slow and not very helpful and on...top of all that the heating was on full with no windows able to be opened!!
