Initially our reservation was for 15 people but it ballooned to 29 for my mother’s birthday. Steve and his staff did not miss a beat in their attention to service, presentation, professionalism and at no point exhibited any indication of being overwhelmed. The food was exceptional, and the cocktails were perfectly mixed. To top it off, the evening’s entertainer/singer, surprised us with a birthday song.Overall, the evening was enjoyed by everyone. This is not our first time at Harvest, and it won’t be our last. Thanks to Steve and his staff, my mom enjoyed her birthday dinner party.Parking: Location is great. Can’t be missed.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu ?.
SEP 18 How many bad reviews do you need before the message is clear? Hoping they either hire a pro Chef or put the business up for sale. The 1 2 star reviews echo our experiences here over the last 3 4 years we go once every 6 months or so hoping it has improved, but no. Food is generally bland, poorly prepared presented, vastly over priced, chaotic and disorganized service. This was a fantastic authentic farm table restaurant pre ~2018 ish when the current owners took it over. It seems to be family run by nice folks who seem to have little to no experience in casual fine dining, kitchen management, or even basics of F B service 101. We're looking forward to the day it goes up for sale and fresh ownership management turns it around such a lovely place with so much potential. Shame.
Very cozy atmosphere- upscale or smart casual. Friendly service, delicious food!
I recently dined at Harvest, and unfortunately, the experience was nothing short of disappointing. The entire evening was marred by lackluster food, sluggish service, and exorbitant prices.First and foremost, the food left much to be desired. I ordered the salmon, and the plating was shockingly amateurish, resembling something one might expect from a home cook experimenting in the kitchen. The presentation lacked sophistication and finesse, which was disappointing given the restaurant's reputation. The salmon itself was a letdown. Overcooked and lacking in flavor, it seemed like it had been prepared without much care or attention to detail. The accompanying rice was a greasy mess that desperately needed seasoning; it was almost as if they had forgotten to add any salt. The overall taste and quality of the food did not justify the steep prices.Service was painfully slow. We waited an inordinate amount of time for our food to arrive, and the staff seemed indifferent to our growing frustration. It was as though they had forgotten we were even there. The lengthy delays further exacerbated the overall negative experience. To sum it up, Harvest was a disappointment from start to finish. The lackluster food, unimpressive plating, and slow service combined with the high prices made for an unsatisfactory dining outing. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a pleasant culinary experience.
Me and my boyfriend came here for a date night since we were given a gift card and we're pretty dissatisfied with our experience. We went for an early dinner and were the only ones on the patio for a while. Even still the service was very slow and it took a while to place and receive our orders. The bread was warm and tasty, however we got it right before our appetizer arrived. It seemed very odd timing wise especially since it took about 20 minutes for us to get our app. We then had to wait another 45 minutes or so for the entrees. My boyfriend got the short ribs which tasted good but the portions of the sides were quite small considering the price point. I got the salmon with risotto and was very underwhelmed considering it's a $40 dish. Everything was pretty cold, the risotto texture was a bit gummy and under seasoned. The plating of my dish gave us a bit of a chuckle as well. The veggies (which were cold, drenched in butter, and the broccoli was still a bit raw) were assembled in a square around the plate. It felt a bit juvenile. I didn't even have an opportunity to mention the overcooked risotto and undercooked veggies as no one checked in on us during our meal. We sat with empty plates for 20 mins before they were cleared. Our dessert, which took forever to arrive even after asking to cancel it, was also cold. When we complained about the wait and said we just wanted our bill and to cancel our dessert, we were just told sorry but 2 big groups came in after you. We had to wait another 20 mins to get our bill. The only redeeming qualities were the patio was nice overlooking the garden and I enjoyed the live music.
