They have a partnership with Pho 60, which is pretty cool because you can order from both places during the same visit! I've been here so many times over the last two years that I can’t believe I haven’t written a review yet. The yellowtail and jalapeño combination is always a winner; I really enjoyed the quality of the fish and the size of the roll. The rice was a bit on the soft side, but I felt it matched the price of the rolls quite well. The lachs gurke was fantastic too, though the balance of fish to veggies was different compared to the yellowtail roll. In some pieces, the cucumber overpowered the other flavors. The quality of the rolls can be hit or miss; sometimes they're unbelievably delicious and perfect, while other times I leave still feeling hungry. Maybe I’ll try some items from Pho 60 next time. This place seems to vary day by day—perhaps I should test that theory more often. If they were closer, I could see myself eating here every day!
Feeling a craving for sushi, I did what any sensible person would do: I turned to Yelp to find local sushi bars. Sushi Bar Japan popped up right away, and it was conveniently within walking distance. I was surprised to discover that it’s located inside Pho 60, a place I've visited many times before. When you order from the sushi bar, they prepare it over at Pho 60. I decided to go for a few rolls to take out, which was a good choice. However, I would recommend calling ahead to place your order. The sushi here is quite decent, and the majority of it is fresh. I haven't had a bad roll yet!
Good sushi and expensive, but was not clean enough
