Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner

The service was excellent. Our server, Lizzy, was friendly and attentive. However, while the atmosphere still held some charm, it seemed to lack the vibrant ambiance I remembered. I was a bit disappointed with the food for the price. My wife ordered the chicken fried steak, and I opted for the chicken dinner. The food was just okay; it felt like it came straight out of the freezer, was reheated, and then placed on our plates. The presentation was acceptable, but it felt reminiscent of the early 1990s—I believe it could be improved to be more appealing. For dessert, we had a piece of cake (my wife chose the berry cake and I had the apple pie). It would have been wonderful if the desserts had been warmed up, but both were served cold, as if they had just come out of the fridge and were quickly slapped onto the plates. I understand the pandemic has affected all restaurants, but I still had higher expectations than what I experienced. In summary, while the service was fantastic, the food and atmosphere felt lacking.

As I recall from my childhood, I was a bit disappointed to find that the youngberry cakes were no longer made at the location. However, the cakes that were available were still delicious.

We celebrated a birthday and were very disappointed. The food, including the chicken, potatoes, and corn, had little flavor and was overpriced. The biscuits were overcooked, and the boys' berry portion was scant and came from a can. The salad was unremarkable. Our server disappeared for long stretches, and when they returned, we were missing utensils. We could hardly wait to finish our desserts and leave. I used to love going to Knott's Chicken Dinner for family celebrations, but not anymore. We will not be returning.

I thought the price was reasonable, you got a three-course dinner with your dinner. very easy to share a plate with another person who are portioning huge. waitstaff was very friendly. highly recommended!

Everything was great except the Kids in the Booth next to us was out of Control and Loud!!
