Portions are worth the money! I'd advise sharing since the portions are huge. The food is so good and the atmosphere is great. It's got a homey feel. The staff, while busy, are still attentive with customers and gradually checking in. Found my new go to Korean spot.

1st time here I was just with my boyfriend and I and they treated us with exceptional service . This second time came with our 4 year old . Was seated all the way in the back which we didn't mind . No one ever came to take our order . We had to ask twice . I Informed them that my soup didn't taste very good and tasted like water . She scoffed and said something in Korean . And said it was just like that and left . Very well knew we are not Korean so we were like okay? Whatever I guess . Then we had to ask 4 different times to get refills on water . We thought they were busy and only 3 other tables were seated . We were way over it at this point . Asked for our food to go . Paid and left tip on the table . Then after they came chasing us down saying we didn't tip! We informed them the tip was on the table. She ran to the table came back with the tip and said it wasn't enough and that we had no manners and I was a bad mother in the middle of the restaurant. That she will write the tip on the check I signed. Really??!? Seriously?!? Come on now, we're not people to make big deals. But really!? I get it you need a job to keep going. But don't run a business or work for a place where you are not accommodating to kids or other races. But expect a hefty tip with no service. Won't be back and will definitely be checking my bank statement often the next few weeks.
Myung Dong is a solid tofu spot in Orange County! Hubby and I are loyal Kaju Tofu fans, but decided to venture off and try off Myung Dong since we were in the area. We ordered through Grubhub for pick-up. Food was ready in 15 minutes. Pick-up was quick and easy. Food was packaged really well. We love the banchan that came with our takeout. They gave us two fried mackerels, macaroni salad, fish cakes, japchae, kimchi, and cucumbers. The japchae, fish cakes, and kimchi were outstanding. We were really impressed by how the sides are well seasoned and refreshing. The tofu soup is good too. Hubby and I each got the beef tofu soup. I got mine extra spicy and he got his spicy. My extra spicy soup was decent, but it had a bit more spice than flavor. I preferred hubby's. His was spicy but with the right amount of flavor. I definitely recommend the spicy beef tofu soup instead of the extra spicy. Overall, we had a positive takeout experience from Myung Dong. The banchan from here are amazing. The tofu soups are equally delicious and they give generous amounts of food. You can easily split a single order into two meals!
