The wings are not the traditional, unbreaded Buffalo style wings but rather the large breaded style. The breading itself seems to be unique to Chaps and certainly enhances the wings. There are a large number of different sauces: all the ones I have tried have been excellent. The servers have always been friendly and engaging, and the service quite good. There is not a huge selection of draft beers, but more than enough to satisfy most beer drinkers. Over the years, we have had various other items from the menu. They generally have need good but none stand out like the excellent wings.
I went to chaps restaurant for the Mother's Day brunch! the hostess was very polite and quick!! As we walked to where she sat us, she started conversation and made the experience so personable!! Nice polite young lady! Jess was our server and she was also very polite and gave our party of 8 some time in between courses of the brunch to talk and wasn't very pushy with the drinks! All around great experience, will definitely come again
Very noisy and greasy food. Service was sub-par and I was overall disappointed with the experience. thought it would be family friendly and was mistaken.
It's all about the service!!! We had not returned here for many many years but our friends organized a get together here. The service was terrible. When you get together with friends a few drinks are in order as is good conversation and a nice meal. We had not returned for so long mainly because the service was so bad so many years ago and it was just the same bad service tonight. We waited forever for a server and waited just as long for our drinks. The food was Ok. Our table had ordered a variety of items. Chicken wings were ok, a bit overdone but ok. The ribs were overdone. The house platter was good. The chicken on the Mediterranean salad was stone cold so most likely sitting for quite some time. Good thing I ordered the dressing on the side or the salad would have been mushy. The establishment is rather dated and the tables are sticky. The restrooms required attention. The menu was pricey all things considered. All in all, will not be back and not recommend.
We have been going to this restaurant for years for our kids birthdays and we have 4. about a month ago we went for a birthday and it was a very disappointing evening. They sat us in the bar area which was fine i guess. The waitress was flirting with my husband which was odd. We ordered and we all got wings which we normally do but our youngest ordered a kids meal because he is 7. he always orders pineapple juice and this night he had a refill. The wings were OK, a bit over cooked. The waitress never came back for about 1/2 hour as she was sitting with i'm guessing her friends in a booth?? Anyways the kids meal came out half the size it used to be and when we looked at our bill when we got home they charged us 9.00 for pineapple juice!!! Just stupid!!!... they just lost a family of 6 that visit often... will go to the Firehall in Bronte, better wings and they don't rip you off!!!!
