A small basic Korean restaurant with friendly staff and good food. Our server was very polite and recommended us items on the menu. She was also quick to refill our tea and to offer us more of the side dishes. The tofu soup comes in a huge bowl! I could barely finish it! Well worth the price!
Jong Ga is a solid choice for Korean food on North Road. It stands out from the crowd because they have the option to choose stone bowl rice with your meal. I love the crispy rice bottom so for me it's a total winner. <br/ <br/ Their Gamjatang had good flavour and the portion size was generous.<br/ <br/ The banchan was pretty standard, but their zucchini dish is a personal favourite. <br/ <br/ Whenever I am in the area, this is always my first choice. The only downsides is that the restaurant is quite small and cramped. During the summer months it can get quite hot inside.
Over two years ago, I wrote my first review on Jong Ga Korean Restaurant! Since then, I have been a handful more times and it is my favourite Korean restaurant! I’ve taken different people here and everyone seems to enjoy it as well.<br/ <br/ Jong Ga is a small, home-style Korean restaurant. It is usually busy so I try to make reservations before coming. The only bad thing about Jong Ga is the parking! It is located in a small strip mall in Koreatown, and many parking spots are reserved for other businesses.
We actually visited this Korean restaurant at least a few times already. The servers were friendly and the service was great. The servers would actually let me know what was good and what I should be ordering or trying. <br/ <br/ We ordered a dish of beef and cabbages with rice and a bowl of noodles with kimchi, sausages, spam and rice cakes along with a bowl of rice this time. The portion of the beef and cabbages with rice was big. We had to pack the beef home. We could finish the bowl of noodles. The quality of food was great. This was the not important part! <br/ <br/ The prices were reasonable and affordable. The restaurant has a decent size and the food comes out quickly once we have placed an order, so customers don't have to wait for a long time in order to get a table. <br/ <br/ I would highly recommend this Korean restaurant although there are so many other Korean ones in this neighbourhood.
