However, I decided to try the chicken ramen at Koya Japan on a whim, as I've always enjoyed Japanese food. The dish was surprisingly good - not greasy, with plenty of vegetables and chicken, and the noodles only filled about a third of the bowl. I also added sesame seeds and hot sauce, which enhanced the flavors nicely. The price was reasonable at $10 for lunch, but the real deal seemed to be the combination of miso soup and a spring roll for $4.99. I'll have to try that next time.
After a busy day of traveling and shopping at the mall, I was looking for a light dinner. I decided to try this restaurant based on a recommendation from a shop owner. The soup I ordered was decent, with tender and fresh beef.
The food portions at this restaurant are large, but the flavor is lacking. We dined at Koya in the food court of Metropolis at Metrotown. Despite having the shortest line of customers compared to the other stands in the food court, the amount of rice and vegetables, along with either beef or chicken, was sizable. However, the taste was only mediocre.
I love this place! Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for noodles. The staff was friendly. The noodles and the food were made very good!
I wanted noodles and this did the trick. Beef yakisoba. All hot items are made to order fresh with your choice of protein and choice of noodle. I just love the teriyaki sauce and with restraint I did not ask for more. The food is...prepared fairly quickly on their grill.
