I'm not particularly fond of lattes because they tend to have too much milk for my liking, but this coffee struck the perfect balance. They also offer free Wi-Fi, but since it's provided by Telus, I'm unsure about its reliability.
I really admire the café's interior design; along with the music, it creates a warm, relaxing, and cozy atmosphere. The only downside is that the white lamp seems a bit out of place. The sandwiches offer great value for their price, being rich in both texture and flavor, with the various ingredients blending together beautifully. I especially love the sauce, which complements the sandwich perfectly. Even though the sandwich is reheated, it's still quite enjoyable, although enjoyment may vary depending on personal taste. The honey latte is delightful, featuring a subtle honey sweetness that isn’t overpowering. However, the honey flavor diminishes somewhat from the middle to the end, only to become more pronounced again with the last sip. Overall, it’s definitely worth a visit for a unique flavor experience.
The atmosphere is charming, and the coffee is outstanding. Additionally, it's a perfect place for working or studying.
I was truly impressed when I stepped inside... The decor is exceptionally cozy, warm, and inviting. It felt like the perfect spot to grab a coffee and relax. If you're in Coquitlam, this place is a must-visit. My girlfriend also fell in love with their delightful macarons! The coffee was amazing, made even better by the use of 49th Parallel coffee beans.
On a brighter note, their Americano is still quite good, although a bit pricey. The London Fog, which leans towards the sweet and caramel side, is just average. Their yuzu soda, ades, and peach colada smoothie are decent choices for summer, but they've also become somewhat overpriced. The Jasmine Peach Iced Tea stands out with its crisp and refreshing flavor, but it has also seen a price hike, going from around $5 to nearly $7. The atmosphere at Standing Egg Coffee remains pleasant and cozy. If you plan to study or work, try to snag a seat by the windows, where most of the power outlets are located. They also have a small, decent bookstore/gift shop at the back, which is perfect for quick purchases and gifts. In conclusion, while Standing Egg Coffee still retains its nostalgic charm, the rising prices and menu changes have diminished the overall experience. There are still some great options available, but it no longer has the irresistible allure it once did.
