Beautiful traditional country pub with spectacular views. dog-friendly, good selection of beer and delicious food. very popular with hikers. very beautiful beer garden with small huts to sit in as well as benches.

The personal keeps a warm welcome on the hill! good eating and a rack of fine ales. good value of the hunt over some beautiful moorlands landscape

On Sunday you called so late as if the kitchen started to close. the fabulous personal gave us a happy Sunday roast and vegcake, both meals were really well cooked and welcomed. if they are looking for a good, plentiful eating, then our experience would recommend that they can not do much better than visiting this beautiful pub.

We booked a table for Sunday dinner in December. it was amazing. such a beautiful little pub. with log burner and cure Christmas decorations. I had the truthahn on Sunday lunch with all circumcisions including pigs in cover. the roasters die! hubby had the bark meat and stylton homemade cakes. again delicious thanks.

Great pub, super friendly owner and staff and a great selection of beers/ales. The food is excellent, home cooked and plenty of it at a very reasonable price.
