My lobster/fries was warm, but eating alone was no fun... his steak came back after a few minutes. It was half the size but cooked well, but the baked potato was still cold. At this point, he didn't want to complain anymore, so he just half ate his food. Not fun. As for the atmosphere, it was freezing cold in the restaurant they played some random music that made no sense for the place. Staff was nice but without the food, it was hard to justify the price...
Great atmosphere! Very great food and waiter was very attentive.
Worst experience, worst service, worst server ever I will never go back
The best thing about the River House is the waterfront seating! I went on a Friday evening (party of 1) and was pleasantly surprised to see it is a white tablecloth establishment. I expected exceptional service, delicious food, and a great view; I got one of those things. The hostess was friendly and seated me quickly. I was given water within one minute – great start! However, it then took the waiter over 5 minutes to return to my table to discuss the menu. When I asked for recommendations, he simply said the ribs. When I expressed that I wanted seafood, he recommended the swordfish. When I mentioned I don't like swordfish, he had no other suggestions. Perhaps I was being difficult, so I asked more questions, but the service remained dismissive at best. My calamari appetizer, which arrived before the wine, was okay – tender but bready rather than crispy. I ordered the spicy tuna sushi as my entree. It was tasty but lacked heat. The dessert, however, turned things around! I loved the chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. Overall, the service and flavors are misaligned with the prices and atmosphere, so it's not my kind of place. Still, if you decide to give it a go, I hope it meets your needs.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting The River House in Jupiter, Florida, and I was thoroughly impressed! The location is perfect, with a beautiful view of the instracoastal. The staff was exceptionally polite and responsive. I tried several dishes, all of which were exquisitely presented and bursting with flavors that satisfied every culinary taste. If I had to point out a downside, it would be that the wait time between dishes was a bit longer than expected, but the delicious food completely made up for this slight inconvenience. I definitely recommend The River House to anyone looking for a sophisticated dining experience in a cozy and beautiful setting! Parking: Valet
