Total **** don't bother. Over cooked fish and chips. Rude guy at counter serving tapping loudly something metal on counter to hurry me up while I looked at menu. Never again. KFC and Subway next door, guess I'll be going there. See ya !!!
Tell it like it is... Shop is clean and so much so the drinks were all stocked full, fronted and faced. Heaps of car parking, large menu with realistic and real menu board photos but not explicitly for each item; flashy coloured lights and lots of staff: the first impression. Order was cod, barramundi, chips, prawn cutlets and gravy. Huge serve of chips for the minimum cost and again we couldn't finish the chips. Chips looked large steak cut or 15ish mm and on offer is gravy. Stopping here the gravy might have been there all day since 11am at 5pm (Not reheated in a microwave as the packaging was fine) because the fill line of the gravy was near burnt and the gravy one centimetre below the fill line; the gravy itself was so thick and rick it was dehydrated and I had a salty aftertaste for minutes after tasting the gravy. And the fish was on the chips not to the side making the chips over oily from the fish not giving off oil on the greaseproof, to the side..Continuing from that only two bad points..Crumbed barramundi was succulent and cooked to perfection as well as the doneness, of chips and same as the prawn cutlets. Prawn cutlets had a nice crumb, poo shoot/vein was removed and had a firm chew. Large serve of barramundi and cod. One thing that alarmed me eventually impressing me was the owner/manager walked out answering a telephone call on his mobile but after a minute or two the trainee on the docket turned into visible staff wearing the company uniform, a short waiting time of under ten minutes and a good meal. Other things I noted:*salads on offer,*ice cream fully stocked, *half the menu boards are dedicated to the Country fried chicken brand (unfortunately you can see the fish and chips menu board half photos are professional and quality compared to the country fried chicken menu board photos which seems weird being one advertising firm could produce better photos than one specific brand working on quality for years such as the country fried chicken).*kids meal or small meal portions and favourites like chip burgerThere were four other customers inside our waiting time but no phone ringing for phone orders at 5pm. Hot box if you place a phone takeaway order and turn up and it's ready for you. It's a two way affair with traffic and getting to the shop, and if your a stuck chicken and can't cross the road the shop is on a corner with a roundabout to follow and end up on the near side of traffic to enter the car park. Good location being the 'village' of the local shopping precinct and specialty shops around include DVD hire and your special shopping like butcher and other necessities.I will be going back. Lastly, the chips were short and not long; potentially good for kids but didn't seem lucky as they were curved and not broken, a small batch of potatoes maybe? - (store bought potato chips not home prepared).
This fisho is consistently good with an extensive take away menu and good hot food. Even when it changed hands last year it was even better than before
Fish and chips here are fantastic. Not my closest takeaway shop, but am willing to make the trek here for the consistently good food.
