Mizuna at Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort

Mizuna is located in Novotel Cairns Resort, within Cairns city. The restaurant is spacious with wide glass panels overlooking the rest of the resort.I ordered the Scallop crumb and the barramundi. Both entree and main were delicious accompanied by Clare valley Riesling. Service was prompt and I didn't need to wait long. Fish and scallop cooked perfectly and very tasty. Would highly recommend both.As I was sitting near the glass windows, I noticed some small dead bugs on the windowsill. Perhaps more attention to cleaning could be done? Otherwise amazing meal.

Food was very average and expensive. Menu was very limited. Service was slow although very few people in restaurant.

Dinner was a complete disaster. My entree was 30 mins after my husband and his main meal was after I had finished mine. Drinks forgotten, no salt and pepper even after asking. Poor young staff were trained Ng other young staff. A recipe for disaster. It wasn't even busy and they were struggling.

If you are looking for cheaper options there are plenty down near the esplanade, however after a busy day out we decided eat in. I had the super food salad, I think it was called, which I enjoyed and thought it was very filling. Service was prompt and we felt well looked after.

No-one could complain about the variety of food at breakfast - all those good things you only eat when you're on holidays. The staff were very friendly, making sure tables were cleaned as soon as people left.
