Grand River Dinner Cruises - Caledonia

This was a most wonderful evening! We were greeted efficiently at reception where you can pay buy cash or credit and they had our reservations all set and handy for quick processing. We were invited to complimentary tea, coffee, water and juice and some sweet treats like muffins or a tart or cookie...yum! There is a store on site with homemade items that very reasonably priced and a small bakery where they offered pied and bread...again, yum! Our cruise included a musical presentation that was top notch, provided by Blazing Fiddles, a 4 pc professional group of talented musicians! Our MC was humorous and very professional and after the music, we were directed to our boats. Ours was called The Belle and we were seated by the captain...very lovely really. Parties had been accommodated in such a way that we were seated with our own group and had the table to ourselves. The captain gave us a safety instruction talk and then we were off to cruise the beautiful Grand River, heading west into the sunset! Our waiting staff were young and energetic and the food was tasty, and filling. Drinks were very reasonably priced and the price quoted in the menu included tax! We were encouraged to enjoy the deck and the scenery and the captain filled us in with local culture and history as the Grand was and is a gathering and living body of water for First Nations. I would highly recommend this cruise for anyone looking for a quiet and gentle dinner along a peaceful river.....

My Husband surprised me on Sunday June 9th and took me on this lovely hidden gem we have here in Ontario. I had such a wonderful experience. The boat ride up the Grand River was great. I never knew there was so much history to be learnt. The Captain that day on The queen was well educated and a great driver. The 3 course meal was delicious and very fulfilling. The hostesses where very kind and served in a timely manner. I give this little hidden gem a 10 star rating not to mention we will be back to enjoy another grand river cruise with family and friends soon enough. I thank all of you for a great first experience. Was a wonderful time from the moment we arrived! Staff were all so friendly and accommodating! The cruise was relaxing, food was scrumptious and totally worth the money! We will definitely do this dinner cruise again but might try an afternoon one next time!

It was the hottest day but the breeze from the water helped to make the tour enjoyable. The food was delicious and staff were awesome as was the captain. Thank you for a great evening!!
