Toscana Italian Grill - Calgary

I have ordered takeout from here and it is deliciousThe only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it is a bit pricey.

I loved the pizza, very tastyThe wife and I wanted to try something different as far as a pizza place is concerned.

Ordered the seafood risotto and calamari which was delicious and was prepared in a timely manner.

For many years Toscana and Next Door (their wine and tapas bar that shares the space) have been a favorite of my girlfriend and I. We make it a point to come here a couple of times every summer while she is here from studying abroad. The food is some of the best in all of Calgary. Whether you're just passing through or live here on a more permanent basis this is a must stop, for dinner or for lunch. Toscana is well suited to groups (my workplace has their Christmas party here every year) and Next Door is amazing for a romantic setting on date night.Add to this attentive staff, excellent chefs and an owner/manager who takes the time to greet customers and thank them for their patronage and you have one of the best restaurants I've ever had the pleasure to visit. Prices are quite reasonable and the selection is great. I can't recommend this place more.

We were a group of 3 for dinner. We shared the Italian Platter appetizer and quite enjoyed it. Each of our choices for a main dish were excellent. The dessert and espresso were also very good. The service was attentive and effective. We had the opportunity to meet the owner. There was a complimentary house special limoncello at the end of the meal. The wine list included a very good (92 point) Chianti Classico for a reasonable price. This was the first visit here for all of us and we will definitely add it to our list of restaurants worth a return visit.
