Contribuisci feedbackI sat in cambridge today while I could eat out and out. eating was nice and very tasty had the fish chips and then sticky toffee pudding for dessert. only real disadvantages was that the waiter-point-blank refused to accept cash as a payment (which is totally illegal), and as such this caused a lot of frustration and problems in the payment of the bill, as one half of the party wanted to use money as their contribution. otherwise a nice lunch with a great view!
Went here for a Sunday Roast, which I was very excited about but must say it was quite average, also didn't like my burnt yorkshire pudding food not really there but kind staff and nice atmosphere so 3 stars
Lovely position by the river, service was exemplary. However, the food portions were tiny, so although it was very tasty, we were really hungry when we had finished. Note to self don't eat in central Cambridge, can't afford the very high prices for tiny portions.
Heard great reviews from the anchor but i was deeply disappointed. Menu was just over complicated, overexpensive and bizarre. Bangers and mash with cabbage was £16. Food was stone cold and tasteless. On the other hand best pub near the river with loads of seats and good views of the river. Good veggie options too and they looked tastier than the non-veggie meals
View was lovely, service was good but the food was unfortunately disappointing. We ordered the fish and chips, the burger and the sausage and mash. The batter on the cod was soggy and the chips undercooked. The mash potato was bland with no seasoning and the sausages were fine, but spicy and not child friendly. The burger was the most disappointing burger I have ever had, both size wise and taste wise.
