Gabriela's Mexican Food - Camp Verde

I wanted to fly home to Phoenix just to enjoy breakfast at Gabriela's! The young woman there was incredibly kind to my Mini Cooper. I ordered a burrito and took a few bites before she stepped away. She popped back into the window, and I gave her a thumbs up to let her know how delicious it was and that I'd be returning. She smiled, thanked me, and wished me a great day! What a lovely person! I absolutely adore my first impression of this place!

This restaurant is clean and well-organized, making for an efficient dining experience. I ordered a veggie burrito and was pleasantly surprised to receive complimentary chips and salsa while I waited at my table. The burrito took about 10 minutes to prepare and was quite large, made with what seemed to be homemade tortillas. The filling had a delightful mix of flavors. I wouldn't hesitate to stop here again on my travels between Flagstaff and the Phoenix area.

The meal presentation was a feast for the eyes, with generous portions of carne asada, Spanish rice, and refried beans, enough to satisfy 2 to 3 people (but I was dining solo). Everything was seasoned perfectly; I didn't feel the need to add anything else. I did add a small dab of the hottest salsa on the carne asada, which was delicious but made me cough—a regular reaction for me with spicy foods, which I don't mind. Another highlight of my visit was the background music, all in Spanish, which created a lovely South of the Border ambiance. I arrived shortly after 10:40 AM and noticed a steady flow of customers, some of whom seemed to be regulars, based on their friendly exchanges with the staff. Despite the busy atmosphere, it felt relaxed, with just one person managing the orders and another working the drive-thru window. I would definitely recommend visiting this restaurant. The menu is quite extensive, and as the owner mentioned when he stopped by my table, there are even options for special dietary needs, including gluten-free items! Overall, it’s a fantastic place for a delicious meal. Highly recommended!

I love this place! all gourmets including homemade salsa and chips. we're coming back. they have a vegan and veggie menu. we always keep the car track down here for gas, but we were never at gabriela? it will be the stop from now on. wonderful restaurant with super family friendly staff. do not be stupid that it is attached to a milk queen, it is hole-in-the-wall and high quality!

Great portions, fair prices. The sauce was really delicious. The red sauce was spicy as promised. Employees were really friendly and service was fast.
