It was a long time since I had any proper kebab in Canberra, so decided to go for the double shish kebab. I asked them for a combination of chicken and lamb, with coleslaw salad. To break it down, the chicken shish was really good, esp, having it after a very long time, I loved it. While, the lamb was below average. The meat was not evenly cooked. And the bread and hummus sides were meeting the normal standards. Nothing to make you remember the place by.Overall, its a decent place if you want to have some kebabs.
We came here for a quick and affordable lunch. My rating of 3.5 is on my characterisation of this place as more of a kebab shop than a restaurant. On this level I was pleased overall with the food and service I received. We ordered the mixed kebab platter. The meats were cooked very well, tender chicken and juicy lamb and the hummus was tasty. The pide, fries and salad were adequate, while there was nothing to write home about with the rice.Better than your average kebab shop with good quality meat.
We had the most delicious Charcoal Chicken! The food was so fresh and tasty with very generous portions. Also the feta za'atar chips are a must try. We will be back!
Hands down the best shish in Canberra! Finally a place which serves quality charcoaled lamb shoulder or chicken thigh on skewers. The feta and zataar hot chips are so so good here. Crunchy on the outside and fluffy potato on the inside. My friends love the charcoal whole chickens here! The staff here are very friendly. I love how you can sit indoors which has a very funky design or when the weather is nice you can sit outside.
Got takeaways last night and it was definitely worth the money! (I had a 2 for 1 deal from LivingSocial . I loved the fried Lebanese bread salad (Fattoush? . The shish's were succulent and freshly cooked which was also fantastic.I don't think I would know what bad Baklava tastes like, so can only say it was just as fantastic as I have tasted elsewhere.I hear they will be looking at home delivery in the near future, once they sort out their marketing? I think the takeaway flyers were still at the printers due to a revamped menu?
