The fish and chips was over done and the staff were so busy making dough for pizzas they forgot about us. Yes, it is a small town but if you pay good money you hopefully get good food.the next night we had their pizza at the festival and it was great. Not sure if is worth sprucing the place up, some windows, etc. I'm sure it's all the locals need and are very happy with it.
It was the night before the Stan Rogers festival. There was live music. A mixture of local and out of town talent. The drinks were cold , the food great, service awesome , music fabulous and the locals very friendly and welcoming. Also had AJ's pizza at the festival. Very tasty.
Canso is a town of modest means in an isolated location. Not many choices for food or beverage, the locals are fortunate that there's AJ's.
The pizza and garlic fingers here are the best ! Small friendly environment :) Located in the heart of Canso
By far this pizza joint and pub is Nova Scotia's hidden gem. A jewel found in the most rural area homes to one of the best pizza's I've ever tasted. The well blended sauce along with the warm soft crust with a great blend of toppings adds a perfect balance of flavour. You have to stop in and try it!!
