After missing it on the front side we found a sign on the back of the building and ended up having to walk around the building to enter. Since we had missed lunch but didn't want to spoil our supper, so we decided to share a sandwich and have a coffee. The one lady on staff was very friendly, had no issue with us sharing a meal, and in fact even brought 2 plates with cuttlery. I was hoping for a little more of a choice in baked goods to take home as there were only 3 types of squares and 2 types of cookies on the shelf. But for the size of the place it was some warmth before our cold sit in the arena.
Come on. You have a small town, with unmatched resiliance since the cod was fished out. Give up? Never. Small cafe, small menu. Good food. Great people. Loved it. Ate here twice while in Canso for 3 days.
Very few places to eat in canso and trip advisor suggested AJ's, drove by it... Umm no!! So we headed to the harbour view bakery and Cafe. It is a very small cafe 6 tables and one very young waiter. One interesting thing was the prices included the tax so that made it easier. I had the vegetable wrap, it was okay very plain and a lot of dressing a little bland but okay. My hubby had the clubhouse sandwich, he said it was a good sandwich the chicken was real and not deli meat. Another table ordered the 3 piece fish and chips and it was very large, 2 people shared it. My husband was going to order the pan fried haddock but decided not to when the girl told him it was from frozen! What! It's canso a fishing village! Any way it's a nice little place to eat.
When I first moved to the city, I always wanted to eat here, but my (now ex) wife was like "I am not eating at that place.
Never heard of a Greek place that doesn't serve onions, tomatoes and Tzatziki sauce with a chicken kabob plate! ridiculous! giving Greeks a bad name! and
