Steve has done an incredible job with every detail here, and we especially enjoyed the outdoor space he?s created, complete with burners at each table. We did a flight of 8 so we could try everything.. Scotch Ale took the crown. Every beer was delicious (how often does that happen? . Could not recommend more.
Had a great stop at the Canterbury Aleworks this last weekend. It's a rustic place in the middle of the woods with great vibes and even greater beer. You have to try the flight of 8 to get all the flavors down. The Lime beer was my favorite, but there were so many other great flavors without being overly heavy, making it easy to consume in all seasons. It's definitely a unique stop and can't wait to make the trip to stop again!
We LOVED our first trip! This hidden gem is worth the drive on the winding, bumpy road. We hesitated to review this pub because selfishly, we don?t want anyone else to know how amazing it is. Owner Steve is the brewmaster, bartender, and operator. He was super friendly, knowledgeable, and so happy to talk about beer. The beers were great. We tried 12 different beers, and it is fair to say we enjoyed all of them. His attention to detail does not go unnoticed. There is anadorable outside seating space, although it was too cold for us to enjoy this time around. An extra special touch: the wall of photos. Take your photo and post it on the wall! We can?t wait to return!
Had a great stop at the Canterbury Aleworks this last weekend. It's a rustic place in the middle of the woods with great vibes and awesome beer. You have to try the flight of 8 to get all the flavors down and the best part is it's reasonably priced. The Lime beer was my favorite, but there were so many other great flavors without being overly heavy, making it easy to consume in all seasons. It looked like they had live music coming for the warmer months, so definitely keep your eye out! It's definitely a unique stop and can't wait to make the trip to stop again!
Truly one of a kind. You almost feel like you've been invited to an eccentric friend's house. Really cool outdoor seating area consisting of tiers of Adirondack chairs. And the inside is small but almost has the feel like your at an extremely old pub. Only downside was the bathroom, which competes with the nastiest dive bars in NYC at 3am on a Sunday... truly gross, and I can't imagine any woman enjoying the experience (or man for that matter). Still, worthy of 5 stars.
