Austin House - Canyon City

Great place with lots of history! Was in the area for the elk season and decided to stop and check it. I brought the family for dinner on chicken fried chicken night and it was great! Beautiful owners and they had a large small selection of camping needs and medicines! Come on!

We stopped a few times. This place is managed by great people. The food is great. It is a nice break from too many decisions. You eat what they cook at night and it's good food. Not to mention fuel and a small but superior market. I'll end this every time I'm in the area.

I stopped for an ice cream. They baked homemade treats. Customer service is fantastic. The outer beauty is amazing. Very clean.

Warm, family atmosphere with a great home cooked meal and desserts. Smoked meat leaflets, potatoes, green beans and a dinner roll hit a cool evening.

Stopped on our way back from Baker City. It was burger night. We got to pick toppings and the price was still reasonable at $12 for a burger with blue cheese and bacon, oven baked fries, plus, a big glass of homemade sun tea! The new owners are really nice and good cooks! Make this a definite stop on your next road trip down Highway 26!
