This was my first time to Maine and I researched what roles to try and ended with about 4 or 5 different places and that was my favorite (Maine Style, cold). Super fresh and delicate lobster, amazingly warm, crispy and buttery roll. Amazing location as well as the lighthouse and the stunning coast right there. Bonus points for their delicious sticky and delicious whoopie cakes. Prizes over the same as others, although I went with the 6oz size, the biggest role I had and I regret NO, they load it REAL well.
The Bite in Maine Food Truck at Portland Head offers delicious lobster rolls and a fabulous location. View the lighthouse and the coast and enjoy perfectly prepared lobster rolls. It was however an expensive New England experience. The 4 of us ordered 3 traditional Maine lobster rolls and 1 larger Connecticut style. Everyone is served with potato chips. In 4 Sodas add and be ready, about $150 (pre-tip). The local mainers in our group were somewhat surprised with the costs. All agreed the food and the location were excellent.
Great experience. First time in Maine and first time try a lobster roll. I went with the traditional Maine style, my husband ordered the Chipotle and our friend ordered the Connecticut style. Nice presentation! The one I ordered was not bad, but I think I would prefer the Connecticut if I tried again.
This place was super delicious. We found this little place by recommendation from a food blogger. The lobster was so much better quality than what we used to be in FL. We tried the Connecticut style and the Maine style. both were good! The blueberry soda was amazing!
Place opens up at 11 AM and had lines for up to an hour. After that, no waiting. Orders were filled fast and staff was friendly. As for the food, don't skimp out on getting a lobster roll. You have a choice of 4.5 oz or a 6 oz, and I recommend the 6 oz. The Maine style is popular, the Connecticut with butter is my favorite, and the Japanese curry flavor is unique. This Bite into Maine food truck was the highlight of visiting the lighthouse area. Don't miss out, get your order in, definitely worth it.
