Tomatoes tasted like they just came out of a garden. Sad note, had been thinking all day about this catfish dinner, was let down.
Huckleberry's has the best highway signage ever I almost had to take a picture and ask the owner for the name of who did it very appealing. Upon arriving there was one table seated and the staff indicated I should seat myself... 10 minutes later I almost gave up and left having seen no more of the staff nor smelling any food from the kitchen. However perseverance pays off and I soon had a bottle of IPA, fried green tomatoes and catfish bites in front of me. The dipping sauce for the tomatoes had a nice kick even if it was a little too salty and the tartar sauce for the fish was pretty fabulous. The breading on both fish and tomatoes was light and my order came out fast and hot once placed. The staff was genuinely friendly and the other diners that arrived during my meal seemed local regulars.
Came back for the second time and I love this place. The food was great again. (2nd post) The best grilled chicken sandwich I've ever tasted! I can't wait to get the sandwich back into my hands. The fried green tomatoes were also excellent.
Stop for lunch after all the designs on the Interstate advertising there. There is a family and a bar page to the restaurant. We sat at the bar. Bartender was very nice and knowledgeable. We ordered the homemade pork cattle . Good size portion and you know they are fresh because they are still popping when they come out. We added the Cajun aroma to the top. Really good. The bartender said the chicken club was really good and there was the best seller, so I went with it. Really good and great proposal. I would definitely stop here if I were in the area. Good food and good service
On the way to Arkansas a beer stopped. The bartender was amazing and gave me taste from the local brews. A delicious route 51 peach beer. I stopped on the way back from Arkansas for lunch, as my first experience was great and I had to taste the food. I had the 3 pieces of catfish. OMG! All right! The fried Okra was also excellent. And again, great service! I'll go through the next time!
