Contribuisci feedbackI was hesitant to try this place due to some of the recent negative reviews. I?m glad I took a chance. I found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. We were seated right away and we?re provided excellent service. The food was good, the drinkswere well made. It was a lively place, as there was a band playing. My one complaint, which had nothing to do with the placeitself is, we couldn?t have a decent conversation over the loud music. Aside from that, I highly recommend it. It?s a good spotfor a casual meal and drinks.
One waitress on duty. Very slow service. People were leaving. Not her fault but not good. Burgers were tasty but rather small sized. Waited a very long time for a warm, diluted $10 chocolate milkshake (price wasn?t on the menu). Overall not agood experience. Won?t be returning.
Worst bartenders! They were rude! We asked for a straw for our drink. The old bald bartender at the back bar gave me an attitude then grabbed a straw and slammed it on the dirty bar. He then proceeded to glare at us for several moments. Thereare plenty of other places. This overpriced dump should be avoided at all costs!
Ordered fish tacos, broiled crab cake sandwiches and several of the small plates. Overall food was fine along with some drinks off the "Handcrafted Cocktails ' menu. Service was quick and pleasant as not many seats were occupied but being Labor Dayafternoon with the exodus of Cape May happening at the time, it was expected to be quiet.
I'm a long time patron of Carneys Restaurant in Cape May. I understand the circumstances of today's staffing issues and finding kitchen help and professional culinary skilled help. But the food wasn't up to par ordered a Grilled Chicken Caesar salad burgerplatter and a crab cake sandwich platter. The Fry later oil was old, fries were cooked and over cooked, crab cake sandwichplatter didn't have the sauce that it comes with. Then we get to a traditional chicken Caesar salad It comes with no chicken Igive it politely back to the wonderful server who was excellent in her service. She comes back after the kitchen help gives hermy saled they put chicken on it. I had to dig for it ,diced chicken that was 5 square cut.Waitress comes back asked how is it. Iwas honest with her where's the chicken she saw it herself apologies. Takes saled back says they are making another one. It'sthe same one more square dried chicken and stale croutons. So I find out the cook cooking the food is 16 no realexperience. Find out Owner son is new managing owner.
