The service was excellent. We went to the porch for dinner. It was cold, but no worries. They sat under a heater that immediately offered blankets. I will dinate Al Fresco with this kind of service all year round. Water glasses were often refilled, we could hear the piano playing inside. We ordered the deviled eggs for a starter (delish) Filet Mignon Beef Cheeks for our entrees. The proposed red cabin was a perfect pairing. Ricotta Donuts for Dessert? Yes, please. Ebbitt Room is one of the best restaurants in Cape May.
We had an absolute perfect Christmas post celebration at the Ebbitt Room thanks to Jackson the GM and April our waitress. The accommodations were superb. The food was extraordinarily!! The service and venue was impeccable. They managed a party of 14 with grace and competence. Thank you Jackson, April and the entire staff!
I usually don't give 5 but this restaurant met all brands. Great service, delicious food and beautiful atmosphere Started with cocktails at the bar. Great selection and wonderful bartender, talented and friendly, a perfect combination. The photo of the Risotto with Uni (a special) was to post fuzzy, but it was spectacular.
We started with a dozen raw oysters for $39, which is definitely not cheap, but they were absolutely delicious. The grilled oysters were also quite good. The Caesar salad was perfect for sharing as well. Don't miss out on the Hemingway Daiquiri—it was fantastic! For my main course, I had the whole fried fish special, which was quite tasty, but next time I'd opt for the salmon or scallops. The focaccia was decent but cost extra. My parents ordered the filet mignon and were pleased with their choice. For dessert, I highly recommend the Key Lime tart; it was outstanding. However, I would skip the summer corn ice cream, as it wasn’t very creamy and had more of a flavor similar to ice milk. The small bar area looks cozy if you decide to stay at the hotel. We also had an excellent waiter named Andy from Serbia, who made our experience even better. I would definitely dine here again on my next visit to Cape May. Overall, our dinner for three, which included appetizers, drinks, main courses, and dessert, came to around $300 before tip. I highly recommend this restaurant!
We dined at the Ebbitt Room on the evening of October 8th, and everything was exceptional. My fiancée and I began with the mussels appetizer, and it was truly one of the best dishes I’ve ever had—unbelievable! For our main courses, she chose the scallops while I opted for the calf’s heart, and both were absolutely delightful. The cocktails were great as well, and the service was top-notch. If you’re in search of an excellent, upscale dinner in Cape May, the Ebbitt Room is definitely the place to go!
