My family started at a table and ended with a $400+ tab, and decided to finish our drinks in the sandpit because our young children were obviously playing in the sand. We had a waitress tell us to relocate with 3 empty tables surrounding us and told us it was the managers per request. We would of absolutely moved if we saw the restaurant gaining clientelle, which was not the case, we just wanted to finish our drinks with the kids entertained. The manager then proceeded to let us know we could not sit there, and finished with “if they got busy we would have to move”. To assume that we would not make that observation ourselves was unfortunate, let alone asked us to move numerous times when there were tables wide open within distance. This review is not only a flaw of service but of management because the lack of ability to read the room. As a client who has managed a rooftop bar restaurant in Manhattan, it is a shame to experience a rushed customer service experience in an empty establishment. On vacation, whilst spending over $400, to tell us we needed to relocate in an empty place feels flawed, considering we assumed we were in a family friendly atmosphere. The original waiter was great. The rest of the experience was awful.
Great place! Food and service were amazing and we got to sit in the sand to eat!
Went there ordered seafood as I figured that would be a safe bet, the fish sandwich felt like it was tossed from the freezer straight into a deep fryer what can I say greatly disappointed my wife had the fish tacos and had the same rubbery texture will definitely not be returning
We ordered broiled flounder, mixed vegetables and potato. We waited 45 minutes to get our food. The flounder was heated but certainly not broiled. I asked our server what are the mixed vegetables? She replied, I don 't know . We spent $78 and regretted it. But, we learned.
The food, the drinks, the staff, the live music, the people—we love this place
