Cape Trib Camping - Cape Tribulation

Expensive !!!! We stayed here 2 years ago and thought we 'd come back. The unpowered sites in the scrub backing into the beach are now called premium sites and are now apparently powered. It was just about 5pm, lady was abour to close, there were sites available and we said we didn 't need power.. she said it is $171 a night for 4 people. Bit harsh for a tent.... we have travelled nearly the whole lap of Australia since April and nowhere in our travels have we seen such exorbitant prices... she also added the restaurant was closed and the bbq wasn 't working.... This late in the arvo, we opted for another site and paid $140 for the night. This was powered.. Think we 'll give this one a miss in future... Added note, receptionist was lovely

This was such a special place. Beautiful grounds amongst the rainforest, right on the beach. The woodfired pizzas were delicious, and the atmosphere around the central area of an evening was great. We were even lucky enough to spot a crocodile about 20metres off the beach one day. If you can, request caravan site 5, this was the best in our opinion. Cannot recommend this place enough! Amazing camping really I recommend a lot, the toilet always is clean, they have a little beautiful kitchen and the most beautiful thing is they have amazing access to the beach
