Howard Arms - Carlisle

Never before, but traveled from Scotland, met with the family. I booked on the phone and they were super friendly and helpful. when we arrived, we were immediately surprised how beautiful it is. everyone was beautiful and we settled and ordered our food. while we waited, they brought a bowl of water for our dog and some tasty. the food came fast and each of us loved it, it was delicious. I can honestly say that they should really try this place, it's fantastic.

We visited this pub today for a bite on lunch and drinks. we had suppe, baguettes chips. all good and beautiful and hot. service was fast. the lady on the bar had a very nice and welcoming wise. also toilets were clean. we would come back in definitiw if we were back in carlisle. Thank you.

Real home cooking, I had the chicken bacon cake with chips and could not mistake it. crispy baked stuffed with meat and juicy. served with steamed veg. had to try the sticky toffee pudding back to home made with custard. I almost couldn't go out. 4 exceptionally well kept real ales theakston bitter was the star

Best Beef Bourguignon Ever completed with a nice selection of vegetables, and chunky chips, and extra gravy. A bottle of Wine, and time to enjoy it all. Nice and cozy pup. Well worth going again clean and tidy, toilet very clean.

Loved this pub! Beautifully decorated, great choice of drinks and the staff were friendly and charming, would definitely recommend a visit.
