Limited menu but they do it well. It's all cash so bring it or there is an ATM. Old school pin ball and there is a jukebox not old school but tons of fun, jovial atmosphere.
I was disappointed in going here. I had the perch and it was boney. The server tried to bring me different pieces but by the time I bit into the 3rd one and still issues I literally was trepidacous about trying more for fear of choking. The server did not ask if I wanted something else and still charged for it. My friend had a burger which was just ok, the tomato was a very thick slice as was the lettuce on it. Mediocre at best. My other friend had the special salad which was on the small side and all just iceberg lettuce, again mediocre at best. I am Birmingham descendant and I was looking forward to going there. Even the fries were on the cold side and overcooked. Unfortunately I would not go back, at least not on a Friday.
Classic Door County staple that always delivers a wonderful experience. Order at the bar and they'll seat you when your food is ready, or you can dine right at the bar. Sandwiches and burgers are served on their delicious homemade white bread... probably the best DC burger. Hand breaded shrimp are another must order menu item. Great bartenders, drink glasses are kept chilled. Don't sleep on this place!
Fun neighborhood bar/restaurant. Family friendly. Good food from hamburgers on homemade bread to steaks made to order. Seafood as well. Monday is soup, salad, and sandwich night, Wednesday offers delicious bbq ribs, Friday is fish, and Saturday is their chicken special. My husband and I go every Sunday night for steak. Nice and efficient staff with owner as the bartender. They care that your food is good and that you have a great experience!
My wife and I decided to stop for an early dinner after a long day of traveling to Sturgeon Bay. Birmingham's was conveniently located just 1.5 miles from our rented cabin. We were impressed by the meal, service, and staff – everything was top-notch! This local restaurant may not have any extravagant features, but guess what? It doesn’t need them! The sandwiches were absolutely delicious, and we truly enjoyed our time at Birmingham's. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for a warm, hometown atmosphere and fantastic food!
